When a friend gives you good ideas: turtle/ladybug to fall asleep 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 /bottles «back to calm.”

During an osteopathy appointment and a brunch between friends, Aude, my friend and osteopath, gave me some good ideas for my children, occupy them and help them in their emotions and everyday life!!🤓😉.

•  ~First of all, the turtle that helps to fall asleep: ~

First, you need to know that our little prince is not a very big sleeper (after only a few months of life, he stopped taking a nap in the morning 🤨🤪) and sometimes in the evening, for him, going to bed is very complicated… To give you an example, when we decided to put him in his big bed (after the «baby bed»), we spent several weeks to stay behind his door all night because it took more than 2 hours to fall asleep 😩! Our therapist explained to us that as a gifted child with cognitive hyperactivity, it is very complicated to go to bed in 5 minutes because once the night arrives, without external stimuli, his imagination can let go 🤯🤪🤪! He still struggles some nights to fall asleep early… so, Aude explained to me that for her little girl she used the toy “tranquil turtle” and that it worked pretty well

That’s what it looks like! 🥰🥰. 

I was talking to my little boy, and he was excited to try it because he liked the turtle! 🥳🥳. I ordered it and 2 days later it was in my son’s bed, ready to help him to sleep 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.

The first night was magical: so happy to have it, he went to bed early… but after the discovery, it had less effect on bedtime. On the other hand, it allows him to sleep very peaceful and it replaced his musical baby penguin! 💖💖

And her sister wanted one too but with no music so, I selected the one that just does star lights because she’s a little scared of the night. It was the same for her: it helped her at first but after a while she got tired of it and in the end she would like the same one as her brother but with stars… I’m still looking for it…🤪 but I found a little different one. If you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to share with me! 🤓

•  ~the bottles «return to calm» and sensory bottles: ~

These are bottles like the decorations of the 70’s (disco style🤩) but that you make yourself with healthy products, creative’s activities stuff chosen with children, dyes… You take glass or plastic jars of the size that you want.

We made them with big glass and small plastic jars.

It’s super easy to do, and then use your imagination, your desires. The children loved doing them because it was really the way they wanted it, they put what they wanted in it (colors, pompoms, jewelry…). Well, I haven’t been able to make the little bubbles of colors… surely the bad paint 😏

Here’s what it gave us:

Even adults have them at home 😉.

~Efficiency level: ~ At first, they loved using it but not necessarily at the moment of anger. But it helps to refocusing or take a little break during an activity. Good support for people who have difficulty with the concentration. Even if the efficiency for restoring calm is not necessarily lacking, they love their bottles and still use them to distract themselves or during quiet times!

I use them when I work in my office, when I lose my concentration, when I start to scatter… It helps me a lot! 👍🏻
