Hello everybody,
I hope you all are ok, and the virus didn’t knock your door or if it did it, you don’t have too many symptoms! Good luck to all of you for supporting your children and supporting yourself too! 🥰🥰🥰. (In Canada, we are not yet in mandatory lockdown, but we have to do self-isolation and social distancing. Only food shops, drugstores, and restaurants that deliver are open. And only 4 airports are still open, throughout the country! But they’re operating a very low number of flights.
From my end, as a real hypochondriac, I am in stress and panic mode, 😨😱. I read a lot (not all good stuff I think!) to try to reassure myself but it’s not very efficient😜. At the same time, I’m trying to not spread this stress too much to my kids💙💖. I started writing in my diary last night and I’m thinking about going back to EFT (https://www.astypiques.com/en/post/the-eft-and-my-stress-a-love-story), I’m continuing my knitting which is helping me a lot! 💗 And I’m going to follow this little pattern shared by a mom in a Facebook group
Here you go:
And you, what things do you do to feel better?
Feel free to share them here in the comments. It could help other people to live this situation in the best conditions! 😉
How are things going on at home, for your children?
Here, we experience it a little differently:
• My Big one (aspergirl) tells us she’s not stressed, that the virus is nothing, but she’s stressed because her routine is changed, and she doesn’t understand why people don’t follow instructions! 🤔😉
• My Little one (HPI/hypersensitive) is highly strung, gets angry easily💥. He even had a big tantrum and then cried and finally told us that he was afraid that we could die because of the virus, that he is afraid of this virus! He’s been hugging us a lot ever since! 🥰🥰🥰
I showed them a little video, in French, explaining what to do and reassuring them:
And also, little stories that help them understanding what’s going on…
And we try to keep ourselves busy (board games, outdoor games in the garden…), to have good time laughing, cuddling, and talking to them, reassuring them, answering their questions… and for 2 weeks now, a bit of homeschooling every day! 📚
And what did you do, use, for your children?
Feel free to share your tips and tricks, it can really give solutions to other families, parents! 💙💖💙
I send you all my support for the next few weeks and I hope that our life as usual will come back quickly but quietly!
Enjoy your loved ones and take care of yourself! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
