Hi everyone,
I hope you are good, despite the current measures ( not so easy for our mind!!!π€―π). This week we have a very special day for our familyβ¦
I give you a clue: the color blue πππππππππ
As, today is International Autism Awareness Day! This year there is no special celebration at school because itβs a public day but that wonβt stop us from dressing in blue to show our support for everyone involved in autism, whether itβs autistic people, their parents, spouses or familyβ¦..and for all the people who take care of our little and big autistic ones (therapists, occupational therapists, school assistantsβ¦β¦).
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our therapist, NardjΓ¨s, who made the diagnosis of our family, who accompanied us during the difficult phase of the post-diagnosis, and who continues to follow us and accompany us every month for my princess session and mine, to help us to blossom entirely, to manage the different situations and difficult events as much as possible! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH: without you, we wouldnβt be who we are!!!π₯°π₯°π₯°π₯°.
And I also wanted to thank Karine, the behavioral therapist who follows my aspergirl here in Canada (remotely now because she lives in Toronto!) because she helped her to better understand the behavior of others, the consequences of her behavior, and how to be more comfortable with social interaction without too much stress! She taught her how to recognize when sheβs starting to feel overwhelmed, and techniques to bring the stress downβ¦..
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH: you helped her feel more comfortable and confident in her relationship with others!π₯°π₯°π₯°π₯°
A huge and sincere THANK YOU to everyone around us (friends, familyβ¦) who accept our children, and us too, as we are! And even if sometimes they are confused, they are always present and they support us πππππ.
And finally a big THANK YOU to all of you who read me, follow me, share with me! Without you, my blog would not exist anymore!π₯°π₯°π₯°π₯°
On this day of awareness, I believe that this action is still necessary because there are still a lot of prejudices, preconceived notions about autistic people and children! Things are starting to move, to evolve, but it is done slowly, and not in the same way in all countries, unfortunatelyβ¦ Itβs not easy and it takes time to make things change! But I hope with all my heart that one day weβll all live in harmony with respect for everyoneβs differenceβ€οΈπ§‘πππππ€.
Until then βall in blueβ!!!πππππππππ
Feel free to share your beautiful βall in blueβ pictures with me π on my Facebook page! It will make me super happy!
And nowβ¦
